• By car:
  • Leave the motorway A9 (Nürnberg-Berlin) at the exit "Bayreuth Süd".
  • Follow the signposting in the direction "Universität".
• By train:
  • Take a bus from    Bayreuth main station ("Hauptbahnhof") to the    central bus station ("Zentrale Omnibus Haltestelle" - ZOH); this connection is served (among others) by the bus lines 302, 303,and 309. Alternatively you can take a short walk (10 minutes walking distance). You can buy tickets on the bus from the driver or at the ZOH ticket booth.
  • Take a bus from ZOH (bus line 304 in the direction"Birken/Universität" or bus line 306 in the direction "Universität/Campus") to the campus. Get off at the stop "Universität - Zentralverwaltung". The bus stop is right in front of the department (see the campus map).
